A2M Injections for Joint Pain
ALPHA2ACTIVE - A2M Therapy
Alpha-2-Macroglobulin (A2M) is a naturally-occurring molecule found in your blood. It acts as a powerful protector against cartilage breakdown by inhibiting the actions of proteins that damage joints and can cause inflammation. Similar to a Venus Flytrap, A2M captures these destructive elements in it’s two binding sites and eliminates them through your body’s natural processes. While the A2M molecule is our body’s own defense mechanism, it is unable to enter the joint or disc space in large enough quantities due to its complex structure. As a result, it is necessary to inject additional concentrated A2M into the affected area to help restore balance and possibly relieve pain.
Through a patented and proprietary process, Alph-2-Active or A2M isolates and concentrates A2M from your blood for reinjection at the injury site. The concentration does help boost natural healing and support tissue restoration.
A simple test performed by Dr. Dominguez can help determine if you are a good candidate for Alpha2Active-A2M therapy. Research has identified “pain protein” as FAC (Fibronectin-Aggregan Complex) and it’s association with painful inflammation. The diagnostic, called FACT (Fibronectin-Aggrecan Complex Test), looks for this unique biomarker in your joint or disc space to indicate the presence of destructive enzymes Alpha2Active-A2M is known to remove.
Early treatment usually equals better recovery. Learn more about Alpha2Active-A2M and your joint health.

How A2M Injections Work
Extraction
During an in-office visit, a blood sample is drawn and run through a centrifuge to separate it’s components.
Concentration
The Solution is filtered through a proprietary system to isolate the A2M molecules for a concentrated dose.
Activation
The optimal solution is an injection into your injury site to begin baiting and trapping the destructive proteins known to cause inflammation.
Relief
Some patients begin experiencing pain relief shortly after their first injection. The healing process continues and individual results may vary. The number of treatments is determined by your doctor and care plan.
Alpha2Active Benefits:
• First and only system to centrifuge and filter plasma for isolated and concentrated autologous A2M
