Raised in Melbourne, Florida, Dr. David Dominguez pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where he walked on to the UF Football team and graduated with honors. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke University School of Medicine, where he was actively involved in research published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

Dr. Dominguez completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Texas A&M University, followed by a prestigious Sports Medicine Fellowship at Sports Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Medicine Associates (SOAR) in San Francisco. During his fellowship, he worked alongside renowned mentors, including the team physicians for the San Francisco Giants, who previously served as the medical staff for the San Francisco 49ers. He also provided care for collegiate and professional athletes across multiple sports.

As a dedicated sports medicine specialist, Dr. Dominguez is the official Team Physician for Florida Tech Sports Medicine and serves as the Team Doctor for several high schools across Brevard County. Passionate about advancing orthopaedic care, he specializes in Mako™ Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery for Total Knee Replacements, offering patients personalized, state-of-the-art joint replacement solutions.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Dominguez is committed to the Brevard athletic community, working closely with local athletes to enhance injury prevention, treatment, and recovery. He remains active in research and education, continuously striving to improve orthopaedic and sports medicine outcomes.

Dr. Dominguez is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). His expertise covers a broad range of orthopaedic conditions, with a specialized focus on knee, shoulder, and sports-related injuries.
